OCC (Oxford Cycling Club) is a new road cycling club based in the city of Oxford:
- We are passionate about our cycling
- We value a friendly and fun club atmosphere
- We like to challenge ourselves on the bike
- We enjoy responsible group rides
What matters:
While pursuing challenging and lively rides together, group safety comes first. We have a members Code of Conduct and identity cards with medical information. We take looking after ‘our ride’ seriously. Communication is important – we know who is on our rides and no one is dropped without consent. The bottom line is that we want to enjoy our rides and have some fun!
Our Charity
Supporting Sobell House is how we contribute to the Oxford community. We are proud of our relationship and the support we provide. A proportion of all Club takings go to Sobell House.
Our Hubs
Our weekly club ride starts from outside Bike Zone on St Michael’s Street in the centre of Oxford and have also established a great relationship with The Punter on Osney Island, where we always receive a friendly welcome, even when caked in mud. It’s the perfect place to enjoy some post-ride refreshments, a bowl or two of parmesan and truffle oil fries, all served with a large dollop of cycling chit-chat!
Our Club
We are a well-organised Club with membership benefits. We are affiliated to British Cycling. The Club is run by a small Committee of elected club members who are dedicated to ensuring a welcoming and positive culture.
